Choreographic Workshop

Students in the final years of the three specializations have the privilege of working with and learning from some of the best guest choreographers at our annual Workshop. This represents a step forward in the training of our female and male dancers, who demonstrate professional-level work filled with talent and energy in these annual performances.
Choreographers such as Carlos Valcárcel, who has taught at several schools around the world, including the English National Ballet School; Muriel Romero, current director of the Compañía Nacional de Danza; María Pagés, Antonio Canales, and Mercedes Ruiz, renowned masters of flamenco dance; Antonio Najarro, former director of the Ballet Nacional de España; Estela Alonso, a dancer with the same company; Carlos Romero and Tania Martín, exceptional dancers; and Rafael Rivero and Fernando Lázaro, contemporary dance teachers and choreographers, are among the distinguished professionals we are privileged to work with.
Educating Through Art

Educational Performances

We believe in education through culture and in strengthening the place of dance by introducing audiences to its different styles. Through a format specially designed for primary school pupils, who actively participate in the performance, we promote culture through our art while showcasing the dedication and talent of our young dance students. “Guess Them”, “Let’s Dance!” and “The Colours of Dance” are among the educational performances we offer.

School Workshops

We bring dance closer to primary school pupils in their own schools. Our students and teachers visit to deliver a workshop combining demonstration and practical classwork. In this way, we aim to contribute to children’s artistic and creative development while establishing our conservatoire as a leading reference for Elementary Dance Studies in Madrid.
End of Stage

Professional Studies Workshop

We bring each academic year’s learning process to a close with three performances in which every student takes to the stage to present their dances and celebrate the effort, daily work and progress achieved throughout the year.

Professional Studies Workshop

A biennial performance for these studies: a magical and special occasion when some of our young dancers take to the stage for the very first time, bringing all the excitement and energy of their dancing with them.
CULTURAL HERITAGE

International Flamenco Day

November 16, International Flamenco Day, is a significant date at our conservatory. Since 2017, the month of November has been dedicated to promoting the values of flamenco, one of the defining symbols of our country’s cultural identity. Students, teachers, and accompanying instructors take part in a celebration that highlights the conservatory’s commitment to our cultural roots.

A video specially produced for this occasion is shared through social media, the conservatory’s website, and the media. It premieres at an event attended by some of the most prominent figures in flamenco. The video is not merely a promotional tool; it is an initiative that encourages enthusiasm for progress, opens the conservatory to the wider community, and motivates our students to improve year after year.

On International Flamenco Day, students showcase their artistry and progress on stage, performing choreographies created specifically for this occasion. This event connects the future of flamenco dance with renowned professionals such as Antonio Canales, Manuel and Antonio Reyes, María Pagés, La Popi, Antonio Márquez, Maribel Gallardo, Luis Ortega, Stella Arauzo, La Tati, and Mercedes Ruiz.

Furthermore, this commitment to promoting flamenco and pursuing excellence in flamenco education is closely linked to some of the most distinguished figures in the art form, who serve as patrons and mentors to successive generations of students. Antonio Canales, Merche Esmeralda, Blanca del Rey, El Güito, Manolete, La Tati, Manolo Marín, María Pagés, and the Antonio Gades Foundation are among the renowned artists and institutions that have supported and guided our students.
